I am very excited entering my second season with the Milton cross country program. I am proud to learn and be a part of one of Milton’s most participated and successfully competitive sports. The 2011 season promises many new challenges and opportunities, and I believe we have put together one of the best high school cross-country coaching staffs around. I have taught and coached at Milton 19 years, most of that time in such sports as soccer, basketball and also currently the head boys’ tennis coach.
I am honored to have the opportunity to coach the Milton Cross Country Team. I am a Health/P.E. teacher at Holcomb Bridge Middle School. This is my fourth year teaching Health/P.E. and my thirteenth year of teaching. My first real running event was the Peachtree Road Race in 2000, and I have been hooked ever since. I have participated in countless 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and marathons, and most recently a few triathlons. My greatest accomplishments are the Boston Marathon and the Florida Ironman. I am very excited and eager to get to know the runners at Milton and share many miles together.

I am very excited to be affiliated with the XC team. I am an avid runner and triathlete and have been competing for over 20 years. My wife and two sons share the same passion for racing as I do and we have traveled across the country and even internationally to compete in running and multi-sport races. Our son Alex has been on the XC team for the past two years and I really enjoyed watching and cheering for the Milton teams at the XC meets. I feel lucky to be associated with such a great coaching staff and look forward to working with the students to ensure they have a great experience with Milton Cross Country.
