Furman Invitational Meet Information
Date: October 9, 2009 (Friday) through October 10, 2009 (Saturday)
Departure:
Students should report to Milton by 11:45 AM on Friday, October 9th. At that time, we will load immediately onto the charter buses. The buses will leave Milton at 12:00 PM and begin heading for Greenville, South Carolina. Runners should be dressed to run, as we will be running when we arrive in Greenville. Buses are expected to return to Milton around 4:00 PM on Saturday.

10:10 AM Varsity Girls Race
10:40 AM Varsity Boys Race
11:10 AM JV Boys Race (finish in right chute)
11:15 AM JV Girls Race (finish in left chute)
Awards:
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place varsity teams will receive a team plaque. The 1st place JV team will receive a team plaque. The top ten finishers in each race will also receive awards.

Directions:
Take 85 North (111 miles) to Exit #42 (I-185/US-29 North) towards Greenville. Continue on US-29 for approximately 6 miles. Turn left at Beattie Place & continue on to College Street. Then continue on to Buncombe Street. Take a slight right Rutherford Street (US-25). Continue on US-25 for approximately 6 miles. Make a U-turn at Old Buncombe Road & take the ramp to Furman University.
Races:
The race is on the Furman University golf course. If entering from the main gate, go straight to the fountain and traffic circle. Turn right at the circle and take the third right down the long drive to the next traffic circle. Turn right at that circle then take the first right. At the stop, turn right and then left. You will see the lake and there will be people directing you to park. Do not park at the golf course pro shop. Use only the parking by the lake.
Admission Fee:
There will be a $5.00 admission fee charged at the spectator’s entrance gate (Lake Side Gate) for all adults attending the Furman Invitational.
