Directions:
Easiest (shortest from Milton HS) directions:
400N
Exit 17, GA 306 go east
Turn right on Browns Bridge Rd
Turn right onto McEever Rd
Turn Left on Mundy Mill Rd
Turn left into first entrance of Gainesville College
Follow road all the way to the back, stay straight.
The course will be down the hill on your left.
Course:
The course (1 small loop and 2 bigger loops) is flat and fast with grass fields and wooded trails with dirt and roots and a small bridge crossing. The start loop is on the main field where all the team tents are located. After the start loop you go into the woods to begin the 2 larger loops that take you through a wooded section with many roots, then back on a small field and eventually back to the start loop which you then go back and do the woods loop again…on the last loop you go by the start line and finish on the main field just adjacent to the team tent area. A great spectator course and one all the runners like! The course will be adjusted slightly due to the rain. The new course map will be posted on the tent at the meet.
Awards:
Top 25 runners in each Varsity and JV Race will receive medals and top 10 runners (boys and girls) in the Open Race will receive medals. Top 3 teams in each Varsity and JV Race will receive a trophy.
Be at CRABAPPLE CROSSING by 8AM. Buses will leave at 8:15AM. We should be back around 4:00PM. Remember to stay hydrated, get PLENTY of sleep, and to eat lots of carbs, (pasta, rice, etc.) Thursday and Friday! This will help you prepare for the Saturday race.
